Canada Goose is a unique Canadian brand. The brand stands for winter luxury and has a beautiful collection of top quality. The materials and designs are inspired by the home of the brand, the Arctic. Canada Goose clothing is therefore suitable for wind and weather and very low temperatures.
At Canada Goose they pay attention to detail. Every cut, fold and stitch is done with precision. The brand's jackets go through no fewer than thirteen production phases, so that every button, zipper and pocket is checked. Finally, they are completely checked by hand one more time. This is the only way Canada Goose products get the desired quality. Canada Goose is a brand like no other and has a unique appearance.
In 1957 it all started in a small department store in Toronto. Sam Tick starts the Metro Sportswear LTD brand there. The brand designed parkas for researchers in Antarctica and was subsequently frequently worn by mountaineers, among others. At that time, all kinds of outdoor clothing was developed. The outdoor clothing had to ensure that people stayed warm in the extremely cold weather conditions in Canada.
A few years later, son-in-law David Reiss joins the company. He invented a down filling machine, which resulted in the label 'Snow Goose'. This name was later changed to the name we know today; canada goose.
The brand gets extra fame when Mount Everest is successfully climbed for the first time by a Canadian in 1982. Mountaineer Laurie Skreslet wears a specially designed Canada Goose parka during his climb.
In 1990 Dani Reiss, David's son, joins and drives the company's growth, which is why we know the brand as it is today.
All Canada Goose clothing is finished with precision and checked by hand. Since 2017, the brand also sews a unique holographic label in every jacket.
Since 2011, every jacket has a hologram of the logo. In addition, the logo patch is a landmark of a real jacket. This must be embroidered on the jacket with the correct font and colors. Canada Goose jackets are further recognizable by the 'Arctic Program Logo', an iconic logo that is central to every jacket.
